Rings and gloves? What do I do?
I want to show off my wedding rings but I’m not very proud of my hands. I have very dry, cracked skin (I use tons of hand lotion constantly) and I wanted to wear bridal gloves to cover that up. However, I want my rings to show in my wedding pictures… What should I do??? Fingerless gloves aren’t really the answer because my worst skin is on my knuckles. I am embarassed when people see it. I am only 21 but my hands look 70 this time of year. There is no guarantee they will be better by May (when my wedding is). Should I wear gloves and just cover the rings? Should I wear gloves for some pictures and not for others? Can anyone give me some good advice here?
One thing, remember that your personal view of it may be worse than what it actually is. But that said, if it’ll make you more comfortable, I’d get a pair of gloves. It’s your decision whether to get normal gloves or fingerless gloves. Then in close-up shots, keep the gloves on. This is where I think really cute fingerless gloves would look great. But then in further away shots (like all the typical family shots), take them off. Both ways you’ll be able to see your rings, while still addressing your concerns about your hands.
Then of course, as everyone says above, try to explore some more intensive treatments to actually just handle the problem. It is your wedding, so it’d probably be worth it to at least talk to a dermatologist or truly high-quality spa in your area. If you could get it corrected by May, you won’t have any worries at all! And no bride ever should…
