How expensive would it be to custom make this dress?
I can’t find a dress that I love, that’s in my budget! I found this one, http://www.preownedweddingdresses.com/dresses/5466/Justina-McCaffrey-Gaby-Size-2.html, but it’s way out of my budget, because it’s by a famous Canadian designer. So I was going to try and have a gown custom made to look like this. It has NO BEADING OR LACE. The only real embellishment it has is some pretty fabric roses at the bustle. It’s a satin bodice with tulle and crinoline for the skirt. I was thinking of having the top changed to taffeta.
Any ideas on how expensive this would be? Thanks!
I’ve been searching for 3 months. And every gown that has this silhouette, with the tulle skirt and fitted bodice, has beading or tons of lace on it! And I don’t want any beading at all.
That’s fairly basic, tulle is a pain to work with but the gown itself is rather simple. I would say my mom would quote $125 to $175 for that gown. The materials are inexpensive and there is not hand work other than the detailing.
