How to cut a lilac to last?
How do you cut a lilac, or really any woody stemmed flower, to last more than a day? I’ve tried fraying the bottom of the stem, and hammering it, but neither have worked.
I worked at florist for a bit and I do know you need to make sure after cuting to put in water right away otherwise your get bubbles of air in the stem and the flower cant take up water. If you have already cut, cut them agian under water taking off an inch and put directly into warm watter this should make them last the longest! Good luck!!!
