What aren’t you / didn’t you do?
Some people think I’m weird, but we’re not:
1. Doing a receiving line (small wedding of 70)
2. No stag and doe
3. No limo
4. No boutineers or corsages
5. No garter toss (my grandparents don’t need to see fiance’s head in my crotch lol)
6. flowergirl / ring bearer – or any kids for that matter
7. nothing religious
8. no readings during the ceremony
9. no engagement photos
10. no save the dates
11. no decor – other than linens / chair covers that come with the hall, and centerpieces
12. no hair up – down
13. no something old / new / borrowed blue
14. no entrance song – just walking in the venue
15. No white – wearing ivory
16. no poofy dress
What do you think? Are any of my no’s a bad idea? What didn’t you do?
We’re not having 2, 3, 8, and 12. As for the garter toss, we’ll be having one but I’m gonna have the garter come from his pocket (or maybe from my arm, for a change), not my thigh. The other things we’re not doing:
1. No wine toast
2. No alcohol at all
3. No veil
4. No guests under 18, except our siblings’ kids.
5. No bridal car
6. No ring pillow
7. No doves or butterflies
8. No wedding invitations (just invites to the reception)
9. No RSVP cards (reply only thru phone or email)
10. No table for gifts (we prefer cash, as we’ve moving out of the country after wedding)
11. No groom’s cake
12. No gown train
13. No pictures during ceremony
14. No special bridal lingerie
15. No real flowers
