Would it be weird if I took off the skirt under my wedding dress after the ceremony/pictures?
I think it’s annoying and I don’t like the way it feels with I sit. Do you think anyone would notice if I took if off after the ceremony and pictures? I didn’t think it made that big of a different in the first place but my mom and the bridal shop associate said it did. It’s not attached to the dress, it’s a separate piece.
it is not a hoop, it is simply to make the dress look fuller, not hold any weight up.
If it is making the dress look fuller, it is going to be keeping the hemline a little higher where the dress rests against it, and people WILL notice if you remove it. Try the dress on without the slip/crinoline thing and see if the hem drags on the ground. And of course, if the dress is thin then it might show the outline of your legs, however a basic long silk slip will cure that. As I said, try it on and see if the dress hangs attractively enough for you.
