Will a slinky bais cut wedding gown look good with a birdcage veil?
My friend is getting married in March and is wearing a dress inspired by Carolyn Besette Kennedy’s gown. It’s very a very simple bias-cut gown. She wants to wear a veil with it, but it seems the traditional veils only detract from the dress. I thought maybe a birdcage veil would look good?
Does anyone have opinions about my idea please?
Also, what would her hair have to be like with the veil? She is a very plain girl and her hair is very fine and cut in a cropped bob so an up-do is out of the question.
I like those two things together because bias-cut dresses and birdcage veils are both inspired by the 1920s, so they really work.
In terms of hair, she should make an appointment with a stylist and try some different options. Also, look at lots of bridal books and magazines to see if there are any hairstyles like hers in there – it may give her some inspiration.
