Is it inappropriate to where an ivory dress to a wedding?
I am attending a wedding and I don’t know the bride or groom. I have a knee length, strapless ivory dress with a black sash and black netting at the bottom of the dress. I am low on cash and cannot afford to buy a dress, and don’t have another dress to wear. From what I know of the bride, she seems to be very laid back.
Find out if she is wearing WHITE or not and if it is a gown or something less formal. I would wear it, because it is Ivory and it has black details, as long as it is less formal than her gown.
Choose black accessories to get away from the white.
You could also dunk the whole dress in a big bucket of tea or RIT dye and darken the ivory color up a bit or give it a touch of pink or blue or green or purple! Just make sure that the fabric is suitable for this treatment.
